Stephanie Davis revealed she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in an emotional Instagram post shared with her followers on Saturday.
The actress, 29, did not publicly announce that she and her partner Joe McIlroy were expecting despite speculation from fans in recent weeks.
The former Hollyoaks star, who is mum to five-year-old son Keben, suffered a miscarriage at three months, saying she woke up one morning and ‘didn’t feel pregnant anymore’.
She wrote, ‘I don’t want to post about this until I’m ready, I don’t think I ever will or anyone going through this but here goes.

Heartbreaking: The actress, 29, who had not publicly announced that she and her partner Joe McIlroy were expecting despite fan speculation in recent weeks, released a statement.
‘So as many of you as my beautiful followers asked if I got pregnant while I was away riding in Southport a while ago and you noticed a lot too, well you were right, we were having a baby! I was pregnant.
‘We found out from this, so quickly it was realized that we had been pregnant for a very long time. If you remember I was off social media for a while, it was because we had a miscarriage. I was about 12 weeks (3 months) pregnant.
‘I was sick from the beginning (the bad, bad sickness caused me a lot of nausea and vomiting) and the crazy hormones I felt for a long time with our baby.

‘I had a really bad headache one night and the next morning I woke up and I told Jo and my mum and Jo’s mum that I don’t feel pregnant anymore, they know how I am and thought I was very worried and the baby. The baby’s heart rate was beating fine as in our previous scans. But as a mother I think you know…’
While Stephanie said she and Joe were ‘heartbroken’ after passing the 12-week mark, she said everything was ‘fine’.
‘The anxiety, heartbreak and sadness we experienced was terrible. Me and Joe were very excited and had already visited and planned life with our family of 4.
‘I was already looking at what I was doing for my baby shower. You think when you move on like I was that everything will be fine, so it was a big shock.

Parents: Stephanie posted a photo of her baby bump which was taken as she relaxed in bed with Joe, looking up at her partner and smiling.
‘When they told us there was no heartbeat, I don’t remember the moment until it was completely heartbroken.’
The TV star said she was rushed to hospital for surgery and heartbreakingly said she felt ‘numb and empty’ after the operation.
She added: ‘I had to have surgery to remove my baby as it progressed, I couldn’t have it all without my absolute rock, which. My mom, Joe’s mom, Jane and Kath were amazing, and the support of our family and my management.
‘After the operation I was so numb and empty and my hormones were all over the place. It was hard to accept that there was nothing more and that our journey was over. Joe was my rock and I love you so much everyday ❤️.

‘We’re fine, and we’ve got through it all as a family. One day we will expand our little family when the time is right ❤️.’

This comes after Stephanie suffered another miscarriage in September last year.
Posting an unfinished video montage that began with her pregnancy news, Stefani can be seen reading a positive home test and sharing the news with her then-partner Oliver Tasker.

In the accompanying caption, the Hollyoaks star explained how she hoped to end the video by capturing the moment four-year-old son Caben is about to become a big brother.
Admitting she ‘didn’t make it that far’, Stefani wanted to wait until she reached the 12-week mark before sharing the news with followers, but was told her pregnancy was ‘no longer’ after she ‘started having pains’ and was admitted to hospital. .
The actress explained that ‘this is why I’m sober’ and told fans she decided to take a pregnancy test after pointing out ‘bad skin, heavy curry intake and hormones’.
Stephanie revealed that her hospital stay involved ‘scans and a lot of blood’ and she was told that ‘her levels are dropping drastically and she’s no longer pregnant’.

She wrote in full, ‘Why did I remain silent? Didn’t know whether to post this or just realized it’s gone. Is it nobody’s business, or should I share my sadness or keep it and feel as sad and alone as I am.
‘As my follower I think you know me well. It was actually your messages about my bad skin changes, my heavy curry intake, erratic eating and hormones that made me check… I wasn’t pregnant.
‘Although we only wanted close friends and family to wait until the 12 week safety mark I thought it would all be fine.
‘I was very happy. Unfortunately I started having pain and was under the hospital while they watched me closely.
‘After a scan and lots of blood I got the horrifying phone call from the hospital that my levels were dropping drastically, and sadly I wasn’t pregnant.
‘After that it was just a game of bleeding and letting go of something I had dreamed about and was very happy about. I finally thought I had a happy ending. So I’m calm and the horrible pain and bleeding started today, it’s all over now that makes it real.

‘I made this video so Ol and Cath actually had a good laugh when my hormones were in full swing, it gave them a good laugh watching it while crying over and over with my hormones. But I liked it.
‘My hormones were all over the place as I sat and cried happy tears watching over and over again.
“I wanted to end the video with Keben saying he’s going to have a brother or sister, but we didn’t get that far…
‘I was so excited to finally be able to enjoy the second half of my pregnancy and it’s a joy, I never thought I’d have the strength to go through another pregnancy like it was with Keben, but I think you do. Healed and I can’t wait for my happiness with Oliver and Keben and our baby.
‘I feel all over the place now and I know I was early but it still hurts. I saw my whole future before me and put my hand on my stomach every day. Just feel lost and my hormones are perceptibly all over the place.
‘I know one day I will get my happy ending but for now I have to get over this.’
New man! In June, Stefani confirmed her relationship with cycle shop worker Oliver Tasker in a love-up post shared on Instagram.
Stephanie shares son Caben with her ex Jeremy McConnell.
They began a tumultuous relationship during their time on Celebrity Big Brother in January 2016.
Their on/off relationship resulted in public fights, domestic violence and a resulting three-year restraining order.
Jeremy was charged in August 2017 with domestic violence after assaulting Stephanie in a drug-fuelled row, and was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and 200 hours of community service.
Meanwhile, she and Oliver went Instagram official with their romance in June. Oliver works as a buyer for Formby Cycles in Liverpool.

Stephanie went public with boyfriend Joe in January this year.
