Yazmin Okhelou fears she will be ‘banned’ from her boyfriend Jake McLean’s funeral

Yazmin Oukhelou reportedly fears her boyfriend Jake McLean’s funeral will be banned due to tensions with her family.

The 31-year-old TOWIE star was in a car that fell from a 70ft cliff in Bodrum, Turkey on Sunday July 3, killing Jack.

It is claimed the couple had a heated row in a nightclub shortly before the car crash, with Jake’s mother Anita Walsh telling Turkish authorities she believes he may have played a role in her son’s death.

However, Yazmin, who was seriously injured, insisted that there was no dispute.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been difficult for everyone involved. Yaz’s biggest fear is not going to the funeral and not being able to say goodbye to Jake.

‘This has been a devastating time for Jake’s family. His death is still raw for everyone involved.

‘In time, it is hoped that they can come together and grieve their loss. But for now it’s a broken relationship.’

Last week, Yazmin told how she was ‘scarred for life’ after a horrific car crash.

The reality star suffered a serious hand injury and doctors said it was a ‘miracle’ that Yazmin is still alive.

Breaking her silence after returning home, Yazmin admitted: ‘It will live with me forever’ as she processed what had happened.

In an interview with The Sun, an emotional Yazmin said she struggled to understand how she survived the crash and Jake didn’t, with doctors telling her he was an ‘angel’ because people couldn’t survive the ‘infamous’ crash site. .

The traumatized star is also unable to sleep without his mother Lisa by his side following his ordeal.

She said, ‘I cut an artery and a vein, so I bled a lot. The doctors called me an angel, a miracle, because this is an infamous place and people have never lived. Now I’m wondering how my friend died while I was alive. It has made me look at life completely differently.

Yazmin continued: ‘I’m definitely going to need therapy for a while, and I’m going to try some inpatient treatment as well. I know this will live with me forever, I just have to take it slow.’

In addition to therapy, Yazmin may also need plastic surgery as she is left with ‘permanent scarring’, with UK doctors warning she may lose full use of her right arm.

The TV personality deliberately broke her trapped arm to avoid the crash and rushed for help – while Jake passed out.

She said of the prospect: ‘I could be like Jake and not live so I’m very grateful and lucky that if it’s the worst case scenario, I’ll deal with it as best I can. The scar I have is horrible so I will always have it as a reminder. But at least I’m still alive.’

As she recovers from the terrifying experience, Yazmin has revealed how her emotions have been ‘very up and down’ as she processes the grief of losing Jake.

She told how she had lost relatives, including her beloved nan, last year, but admitting it was ‘extremely difficult’ there was no one she loved ‘deep down’.

Amidst her recovery, Yazmin stays away from ‘social settings’ and won’t log into social media, while she has even changed her phone number.

She insisted her ‘focus’ was just on getting herself back on track and dealing with what happened to her and Jake, adding that her on-and-off beau was the only person she felt ‘such love for’.

The beauty said the ordeal would ‘stay with me for the rest of my life’ before commenting that she loved Jake, who she traveled around the world with, ‘very hard’.

After the accident, Yazmin was forced to break her own arm to escape the car and seek help, admitting she had ‘no choice’ but to take drastic action.

At that time, Yazmin did not know that she had opened an artery, but she revealed that she was covered in blood when she turned upside down in the car.

Yazmin said she convinced herself that Jake was still alive as she ran to the top of the bank and screamed for help.

Luckily, a man walking his dog quickly found him and rushed to the car to help, but sadly it was already too late as Yazmin said she couldn’t feel Jake’s pulse.

Yazmin said grief and trauma have left her in need of treatment and she has not left her mother Lisa’s side since the accident.

The reality star also confirmed that the pair are currently off, but she went to Turkey in the hope they could reconcile and recalled how the trip between them made it ‘perfect’.

The television personality was on holiday with Jake at a resort in Bodrum when the horrific incident took place.

Jake and Yazmin were driving in a blue Mercedes E Class saloon on the windy, mountain road between Bodrum and the seaside town of Yalikvak when they turned in at night.

The accident happened around 4.30am and investigators have found that the car crashed about 70ft into a left-turn bend and fell about 30ft into a ditch.

Jack was pronounced dead at the scene, while Yazmin was taken to hospital, where she suffered a hand injury.

After the accident, he was passing through thick, thorn bushes to stop the motorcycle for help.

A source told MailOnline last week that Yazmin has been left heartbroken: ‘Yaz is unable to feel any sense of relief as her heart is torn in two over Jack’s death.

‘She still can’t come to terms with what happened.’

Jake, 33, – who previously dated TOWIE star Lauren Goodger – was driving at the time of the crash.

Yazmin was seriously injured but pulled herself from the wreckage to get help.

Her mother flew out to support her daughter in her recovery at Esibadem Hospital in Bodrum in the days after the accident before bringing her home.

His mother, Anita Walsh, claimed she had raised her concerns with prosecutors investigating the crash that killed her son in Bodrum, Turkey.

Anita told prosecutors that because of his driving expertise, Jack would not have lost control of the car as it went into a turn on a mountain road.

An assistant prosecutor, who cannot be named under Turkish law, told MailOnline on July 6: ‘We have spoken to Jake’s mother and she told us something was going on in the car which disturbed her.

I do not believe that this accident was caused by his poor driving. She said that she was a very skilled and experienced driver and that way she would not have lost control of the car.

Prosecutors are investigating whether Jake was driving under the influence. Shortly before Sunday’s crash, a feuding couple had fought outside a club at 3am.

Jake and Yazmin, who are believed to have started dating in May last year, revealed their relationship on Instagram in December in a clip which showed the pair kissing.

But she split from him a month after he was allegedly caught ‘acting single’ as he holidayed in Dubai and left a club alone with Love Island ex Ellie Jones.

The pair were still expected to split when the accident happened on Sunday. Friends say they are not sure what the pair were doing together in Turkey, but may have been there to sign some sort of business deal.

A source told MailOnline: ‘It’s an absolute tragedy and an absolute loss of life. Everyone is shocked and hoping that Yazmin makes a full recovery.
