First impressions are important, and I was very impressed with the Tribit Stormbox Pro when I took it out of the box. This portable Bluetooth has dynamic entertaining bass sound, transmits sound in all directions and has the perfect form factor for outdoor activities. Unfortunately, I can’t base my opinion on Tribit Stormbox Pro on first impressions.

Solid Audio with Several Dipnotes
The sound quality from Tribit Stormbox Pro is what I expect, considering the price of the speaker and the form factor. It doesn’t sound like a full-size stereo setup, and there are definitely some drawbacks to the mid-range. But the pool is loud enough for a party or cooking, versatile, and has a ton of bass.
And for whenever you want more bass, there’s a big button saying “XBass”. When XBass is activated, you won’t get the best sound quality, but it makes the music more fun, especially when you’re having fun with other people.
To be clear, I’m not trying to push the Tribit Stormbox Pro for sound quality. You will never find an amazing sound speaker with beautiful stereo separation in this form factor – at least not in my opinion. This is just an exchange for a speaker that weighs three pounds and can deliver sound in all directions at once.

Now Tribit could improve everything a bit with predefined EQs (or a special EQ tool in a smartphone app). But I understand why Tribit skipped this feature. Most people don’t mind playing with EQ settings, so it’s not worth the extra R&D costs.
I should also note that this speaker has an Entertainment mode. If you get two Tribit Stormbox Pro speakers, you can combine them for true stereo separation and all the good stuff. Tribit sent me two speakers, and in my tests, Party Mode sounds really impressive! But for the most part, it was the only speaker I really wanted to use. Keeping two things installed and fifty is extra work.
This is my only major complaint; Tribit Stormbox Pro can make a fairly loud sound by increasing the volume all the way can distort sound, especially when XBass is active. I don’t think it will be a problem if you are a good and quiet neighbor, but it was a problem for me.
Pay attention to the manufacturer’s defects

Speaking of increasing the volume, I noticed that one of my Tribit Stormbox Pro speakers was making a loud “pop” sound. A very loud and sudden “pop” like what you hear when the wires in a car or home sound system are loose or crossed.
This only happens once a month on the blue moon and still only affects one of the speakers I’ve tested. But I think this is a sign that the wires are of poor quality; Vibrations from the speaker are made anything to the wires.
I’ve come across dozens of customer complaints about Tribit Stormbox Pro speakers that don’t hold a charge and “pop” loudly when you try to start it, so this may be a bit of a common problem. To be precise, I do not think this problem is too scary. The loud “pop” sound comes not from the battery, but from the dynamic drivers. If I’m right, the speakers just go crazy because of an interrupted or unstable electrical signal.
Tribit looks great in replacing defective speakers and getting customers’ money back, which is great. But I still have to take points for this problem – if I had never encountered it, I would have won the Stormbox Pro 7/10.
Exceptional Battery Life and Recharge

In addition to price, battery life is a key selling point for this speaker. This is a total 10,000 mAh battery, but it lasts about 24 hours on a charge (acceptable capacity). This is enough for a trip to the beach, a long meal, a pool party and other social events. That’s twice as much as you’ll get with speakers of the same price as the JBL Flip 6.
You can also use Tribit Stormbox Pro as a portable battery for your phone or any USB device. This is an interesting feature in a pinch, but if you’re going to a place where your phone can die, you just need to bring a separate battery. Batteries with a capacity of 10,000 mAh currently cost about $ 20.
My only complaint is that it takes six or seven hours for the speaker to charge itself. I’m not sure why I need a 10,000 mAh battery so long Charge via USB-C – cheap components? In any case, this is not the biggest problem in the world, but it is a small concern (like me) for people who tend to prepare for an outdoor tour at the last moment.
Design for Rain or Shine

Tribit earns a lot of points for the design of this speaker. It weighs only about three pounds and has a (surprisingly sturdy) rubber carrying handle. You can easily pack it in a bag, squeeze it into a carabiner and hang it on a hook in your kitchen, bathroom or garage.
In addition, Tribit Stormbox Pro with IP67 dust and water resistance rating is suitable for any outdoor activities. I dragged him to this dynamic shore and swam with him in the springs. He survived every trip, even the rain.
When the outside of the speaker gets dirty, I just wash it. According to IP67 certification, it should continue to sink one meter in water for thirty minutes, so it is better to rinse quickly.
You can also use Stormbox Pro in the shower. Just keep in mind that hard water and soap bubbles can accumulate on the surface of the speaker fabric after a few months. (Although this is true for any Bluetooth speaker.)
The mating process is terrible

Controlling the result should not be rocket science. I just want to turn it on, pair my phone, adjust the volume and do everything without any problems. But the mating process of the Tribit Stormbox Pro is a nightmare.
The initial installation is very easy. But once Tribit Stormbox Pro is connected to one device, it claims nothing else. Each time I enter pairing mode, I have to turn off Bluetooth on the device that is currently connected to the speaker. Otherwise, it’s just an old device (it’s very inconvenient when a friend or roommate uses the last speaker).
Also, the speaker does not tell you things like “pairing” or “pairing is over.” It just makes a bunch of watery “bop” sounds. I am sure that this is to prevent language barriers in the international market, and it is great. But I don’t know what “bleep bloop” or “woOOosh” means!
The lack of a 3.5mm jack on the Tribit Stormbox Pro does more damage. I would like to add a new audio source without going through the pairing process. But I can’t, so I have to go through a “bleep bloop” dance instead.
Base: Well, it’s acidic

Of all the speakers in this price range, the Tribit Stormbox Pro has one of the best designs for outdoor activities, especially small parties, camping trips and beach days. The handle is awesome, waterproof, the battery is stone, and all-round drivers make fun, bass sound.
It’s a shame that Stormbox Pro suffers from such strange problems. I can’t ignore the lack of some kind of AUX cable or customizable EQ, as a ton of Bluetooth speakers don’t have these features. However, the mating process is mixed, and the manufacturer’s shortcomings seem a bit common – these two things make it difficult to recommend the Stormbox Pro without any problems. great star.
So I will say this; Amazon has an excellent return policy, and Tribit Stormbox Pro goes on sale at least once a month (just check the price history). If its features or specifications have deceived you, wait for one of these monthly sales and take a shot. Again, if I hadn’t come across so many reports of flaws, I would have rated this dynamic 7/10, and if it weren’t for the mating process, this rating would have been even higher.
