In the shocking new surveillance footage, the brutal hedging of a University of Missouri student blinds him and makes him unable to walk or speak.
Danny Santouli, 19, is now confined to a wheelchair, blind and unable to speak, due to a brain injury sustained during the Pledge Dad Reveal Night in the Phi Gama Delta in October 2021.
The teen was ordered to lower Tito’s family-sized bottle and was given beer from a tube.
Surveillance footage obtained by Good Morning America shows Danny and others vying down a flight of stairs from a shirtless and blindfolded house.
Later, he is forced to drink beer from a tube and then appears to fall backwards, out of the table and onto the sofa.

Footage shows her frightened brothers trying to get her to the hospital in a car when they realized how serious her condition was.
By the time he got there, he had stopped breathing for a long time, causing severe brain damage.
After months in a rehabilitation center, Danny was recently taken home to Missouri, where his mother now looks after him 24 hours a day.
His family had earlier sued 23 people, including the fraternity, and won their case with an anonymous agreement, but now they are suing two individual brothers; Sam Gandhi and Alec Wetzler.
They have also demanded that the couple be prosecuted for heinous crimes.
Wetzler has been accused of providing alcohol to a minor and is no longer enrolled in school, but Gandhi has not been charged and is a student.
According to the family’s lawsuit, Gandhi saw Danny’s plight but did nothing to help until it was too late.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Danny’s mother cried when she explained how no boy had called 911.
Danny, shown with his sister, is unlikely to ever walk, talk or watch again. She needs 24-hour care for the rest of her life
Danny’s mother cried when she asked why she didn’t call 911 when she saw her son with blue lips.
‘The fact is that no one … they didn’t know he was in trouble. Her lips were blue and no one called 911. I mean six year olds call 911. ‘
She added that she needed care ‘for life’.
‘He is not talking or walking, he is in a wheelchair. He lost his sight. But He hears us and He knows we are there. We will continue to fight – we will not give up hope, “he added.
Danny’s sister expressed her disgust that the guilty boys were not charged.
“I have a stomach ache when I see people who hurt Danny on campus seem to have done nothing wrong,” she said.
Her father added: “I want to see them with crime.”
DailyMail.com has previously revealed that two siblings have been sued.
Gandhi is an architecture student who is about to graduate next year. Wetzler is studying for a BA in Business Administration.
The revised lawsuit against him states how he and others – who had previously been sued and who settled the lawsuits – were forced to be fed Santoli beer and allowed to drink Tito’s family-sized bottle.
Samuel Gandhi (left) and Alec Wetzler (right) have been named as defendants by the family of Danny Santulli, a teenager whose family was forced to drink alcohol until her heart stopped beating last October in the Phi Gama Delta.
When he got out and went into cardiac arrest, they finally took him to the hospital.
Now, he is not likely to walk, talk or look again. Her mother quit her banking job to take care of her full time.
According to the lawsuit, the couple wanted to make one night ‘never forget the promises’ so they filled the house with ‘cocaine, marijuana and alcohol’.
“This is the worst fraternity hedging case ever in the United States in terms of injuries. You can never get hurt and still be alive
David Bianchi, lawyer for the victims
According to documents reviewed by DailyMail.com, the new promises included family-sized bottles tapped in Tito’s hand and branded ‘p ***** s’ when he stopped drinking.
The lawsuit also claims that the boys were alerted to a previous hedging incident at the school.
Wetzler has been charged with providing alcohol to a minor, but Santulli’s lawyer, David Bianchi, told DailyMail.com that the family had accused him and others of hedging.
‘It is The worst community hedging case ever in the United States in terms of injuries. You can never get hurt and still be alive, ‘said Bianchi.
He added that Danny’s prediction was “scary”.
The Missouri chapter was suspended after both the National Brotherhood and the university were admitted to Santulli Hospital.
‘H.Echo has suffered a great deal of brain damage, he is blind, he cannot walk. There is no possibility of any physical change. ‘
The parents have already settled the case with 22 defendants and the community, which has now been banned from campus for repeated violations.
On Monday, Bianchi sought to add brothers Gandhi and Weitzler to an amended petition, which was approved by Judge Joshua Devin.
The lawsuit alleges that Santoli (pictured) and everyone in her vow class were forced to drink a bottle of hard liquor given to them by their ‘vow fathers’.
According to the lawsuit, the brothers gave Danny a family-sized handle of Tito’s vodka and told him to finish it overnight.
At that point, he was in their ‘back and call’ for a month as part of a fierce hedging process.
‘He was deprived of sleep, had to buy things for his brothers and sisters with his own money, and was repeatedly ordered to clean the brothers’ rooms and bring them food, alcohol and marijuana every hour of the night.
“To make matters worse, Danny was ordered to climb into a trash can with broken glass,” the lawsuit states.
Two nights before the incident, Danny cried to his sister that she had enough, the lawsuit claims.
Her family told her to leave the fraternity but she said she did not want to because she was ‘not the person to leave.’
On Hodging’s night, the lawsuit alleges that Weltzer stood in a chair “looking for a target” and saw Danny. He then forced her to drink beer through a tube, then returned her to his family-sized tito bottle.
In the petition, Weitzler allegedly put a tube in Santouli’s mouth and poured beer down his throat, forcing him to drink excessively.
Gandhi initially left Santoli after trying to help him when it became clear that the new man was dangerously intoxicated, Bianchi claimed.
He went to the room at 12.17 pm and saw Santulli moving from where he left off, the lawsuit alleges.
The 19-year-old had a blood alcohol level of 0.486 percent, six times the legal driving limit.
According to the lawsuit, freight boys from the University of Missouri (shown) were already on high alert for the hedging incident.
The revised petition states: “At 12.28am, Danny slipped off the sofa and took his face to the floor, but there was no voluntary control over his arms or legs and he remained there until no one from the room saw him.” He is back on the sofa.
Her skin was pale and her lips were blue, yet no one spoke 911 ‘.
Instead, they took him to the hospital in another Promised Car, where he was taken to the ICU.
Weitzler has been charged with felony criminal mischief for supplying alcohol to a minor and for possession of alcohol by a minor.
Brotherhood member Ryan Delanty was nicknamed the ‘Pledge Dad’ of Santulli in the hedging.
He allegedly texted a friend at 10.57am: ‘My son is dead.’
Asked what happened, the friend replied, “I left him.”
Delanty had previously been sued by 23 people. The case was settled out of court.
