Infinite beyond two minutes (2020)
How cool and interesting is this title? Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes is a low-budget time-traveling comedy by Japanese filmmaker Junta Yamaguchi. Wild rule: A cafe worker discovers that the TV can show him what happened in 2 minutes. Obviously, there is more to it, and the results are as creative and exciting as you might expect under the limitations of indie film production. A stone.
Invasion of body abductors (1978)
Remakes are rarely better than the original, but sometimes there is a notable exception. The 1978 version of the Kidnappings is based on the excellent sci-fi horror of 1956 and tells the story of a health inspector and his colleague who realize that the San Francisco population is slowly being replaced by drone-like replicas. Creating an atmosphere full of fear and paranoia, the Invasion of Bodyguards, led by Donald Sutherland, was hailed as one of the best science fiction of all time.

There is no need to talk much about the first in the Terminator franchise. Apparently, the story of James Cameron, born of a feverish dream, presents us with a cyborg killer sent to kill Sarah Connor from the future, to save his native son from the robot apocalypse.

Before Dune, Denis Villeneuve directed another giant sci-fi classic. In Arrival, Amy Adams is portrayed as a linguist with a personal tragedy in the past. As the mysterious extraterrestrial spacecraft orbits the Earth, it is hired to make contact – a completely unexpected life-changing outcome. The arrival is a complete package with performances, cinematography and writing from outside the world.
Star Trek into the Dark (2013)
The second Star Way movie in the reloaded franchise, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Khan, explores a terrifying adventure with a memorable villain. The USS Enterprise team travels to a restricted area in space to rescue an endangered species. Although a bit old – the irreplaceable lingerie scene and the change of ethnicity for Khan – getting into the Darkness is a very exciting journey.
The Fifth Element is not for everyone, but if you are in the mood for an open space adventure, it will bring all the operas of the blue aliens you can dream of. Follow the taxi driver Corben Dallas, who chases the mysterious fifth element that can defeat the cosmic evil force.

Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005)
Science-fiction comedy is not always successful, and this adaptation of Douglas Adams will either be strange in a good way, if you are familiar with the source material, or it will be funny, surprisingly strange. At the age of 13, I loved him.

It’s hard to exclude “Tomorrow’s War” from this list, because it is a great sci-fi actor in Prime Video, starring Chris Pratt. He watches a school teacher prepare for a future war with aliens. An easy-to-digest movie that you can watch while watching on your phone.

Vivarium is interesting. It may disappoint many viewers with its surreal aspects, but it is still an attractive film. The young couple is trapped in a suburban neighborhood like a maze of the same houses. While trying to escape, they find themselves in the care of a mysterious baby.

Emile Hirsch starred in this fantastic horror film about a father who keeps his 7-year-old daughter at home all his life. Chloe is inevitably looking great in the open air, which leads to inexplicable events and confrontation with the government department. An impressive work with a father-daughter relationship.

Do you remember Dane DeHaan from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 starring in these sci-fi shots? He plays the role of an unfriendly teenager who develops telekinetic abilities. What begins as a way to have fun and joke results in an action that goes too far. Chronicle is a smart, documentary-type science fiction actor with a story of superhero origin.
A science fiction actor who puts director Neill Blomkamp on a map. The found hybrid footage leads you directly to the intense movement of the appearance of the alien spacecraft over Johannesburg, Africa in 1982. Unique, exciting and somewhat political classic.
Yes, this is a prequel movie. Yes, this is the fifth in the Alien franchise. Yes, it’s spectacular, and its plot doesn’t impress with its amazing visual justice. But Prometheus introduced us to the bright creepy and irritating android David, played by Michael Fassbender. His plot may not make sense in the end, but there is no denying the amusing value of this sci-fi horror.
This low-budget indie has amazingly high production values, impressive performances, and an inventive camera work that will help tell the story of two teenagers in New Mexico in the 50s. The talented couple pursues the potential extraterrestrial origin of the mysterious sound frequency.
City of Lost Children (1995)
Before Amelie, Jean-Pierre Jeunet brought his talent and visual style to science fiction (directed by Mark Caro). The City of Lost Children follows a bad scientist who kidnaps children and thinks that their dreams are the key to preventing aging.

For those deprived of the Black Mirror, this will be a way to fill the gap. The “black box” follows a father who wants to reunite his life after a car accident. He agrees with an experimental procedure that takes him to the darkest cavities of his mind.

Compatibility does not require a budget the size of an avatar to create an interesting story. The low-budget indie film follows friends at a dinner where they begin to observe strange events after a comet. More disturbing due to its basic structure, Coherence nailed a short of real indie gemstone.

Interesting key? Check. Low budget? Check. Sonda Twist? Check. This indie sci-fi mystery from Travis Milloy strengthens its position in Google Search for “the best indie sci-fi gems.” The intricate story of the Infertility Chamber tells the story of a man held in an automated cell. He has to fight with advanced technology to escape, which is a very difficult task.

The Archive sounds great for well-crafted, well-thought-out science fiction that makes sure its meditations don’t overpower the value of entertainment. In his British directorial debut from Gavin Rothery, Theo James plays a scientist who works to make artificial intelligence as human as possible. The reasons are secret, personal and he is sure to put the key to the work. Comparing with Ex Machina, Archive is sure to tell the story with a subtle focus on character.
