This is not a defense clinic, which loves the Golden State very much.
Celtics 22-26 Warriors, 2:36, first quarter
But the Warriors continue their separation. Thompson scored a goal instantly. Fortunately, the old man Al Horford is there to answer. Grant Williams, in Robert’s orthography, misses Curry who makes one of two free throws. After a few low-scoring homeless goals, the Warriors are taking their first time.
Celtics 20-23 Warriors, 4:03, first quarter
Brown leaves the pitch but Curry hits the other three but Brown and Derrick White (currently in the game) score. Approaching.
Celtics 14-20 Warriors, 5:55, first quarter
Okay, a lot happens before the Celtics take their first time. Tatum loses two free throws. The Celtics put the first Curry in action when they put the trade baskets behind them and then a third.
Celtics 9-12 Warriors, 8:08, first quarter
And now both crimes are hot. Thompson hits three. Curry and Wiggins have a Smart triangle in between.
Celtics 6-5 Warriors, 9:50, first quarter
Tatum connects it with a third, Wiggins builds a layout and Smart adds a third.
Celtics 0-3 Warriors, 10:50 first quarter
The first Warriors put out three on Steph Curry. Seen before.
Opening Tip
Warriors 0-0 Celtics, 11:21, first quarter
And we go! The Celtics get the starting lineup but cannot score on their first possession.

Pre-game predictions are from our experts. Clean cleaning for Warriors. What, you expected Magic Johnson to go with Boston?
The biggest strength and the biggest weakness of the Boston Celtics
On the one hand the Celtics have the best defense in the NBA during the regular season and next season, which should make it a challenge for the Golden State. However, there is a trick Warriors can use: their tendency to retaliate.
As Zach Kram put it in The Ringer: “The Celtics put in another 3.6 points per 100th transfer last season, for Glass Cleaning – the worst sign for any team that has reached the second round.”
This is something that anyone watching Boston’s hot-and-cold performance in the last two rows could probably have guessed. Warriors, who have a higher defense, could easily have made this short series if they continued to lean.
Boston’s Jayson Tatum is one of those outfits that you can only get rid of if your team wins the game.
Prediction
Rest vs Rust is one of the sport’s oldest arguments: is it better to extend a team for a long time or does it cause frustration? The answer, I think, depends on the team and in this case, it seems very clear that the Warriors have too much Final experience to be taken lightly here. The Celtics almost had time to wait and it is not clear how healthy the Smart or Williams are.
I feel that this Golden State achievement is largely comfortable. The Celtics will win at least one road game in this series, they are the best road team in the league this season, but I do not think that is the case. I guess Warriors 110-98 Celtics.
I could be wrong! Of course everyone here at MA expects me to be. Think of you? Once again, you can email them at [email protected]theguardian.com or Tweet them. @HunterFelt and we will place them here at the beginning of this game.
Draymond Green, who has annoyed the Miami Heat (and may extend the Eastern Conference Finals) by saying he will face Boston in the Finals, gives the Celtics some love. There is a lot of respect between these two Frenchmen who have been very successful in their past.
In fact, the Celtics are the only team to have a successful record against the Warriors under Steve Kerr. key statistics or useless stuff? we’ll see
“Your Music Guest…”
I prefer to think of Neal Schon as a Santana guitarist and not as a Traveler, but he is still a beautiful National Anthem performer. It seems like San Francisco always has cooler musicians and I’m not happy to say they’re like Bostonians (albeit through Florida).
The NBA revealed the following names in the opening tonight’s Finals.
As the series moves eastward for Game 3, there is a challenge for Boston. There should be at least two Wahlberg in the Garden. And a Tacko view will complete W. pic.twitter.com/sRYtXUaCsE

Lack of Injury Report
The good news for the Celtics, center Robert Williams starts today, although he may play a few tricks. Ime Udoka said she expects to play around 20 minutes.
Meanwhile on the Warriors side: Gary Payton II, Andre Iguodala and Otto Porter Jr. are all cleared. That’s right: a completely clean injury report for the first time all season.
Ime Udoka said Robert Williams will start tonight. He can play as few minutes as needed, but the Celtics will try to reduce his chances to get him around 20 minutes for his best effect.

Introduction
If you had the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors as the last two teams to stop at the start of the season, the last thing that happened well in the 1964 NBA Finals… I really hope you bought the lottery tickets.
No one really knew what the Warriors would look like after the loss of Klay Thompson for such a long time. Meanwhile, the last time the Celtics were in the NBA Finals was in 2010 when they lost in seven games to the Los Angeles Lakers. They also had a tough season, having to head to Ime Udoka and work without an All-Star point guard.
But still they are both here. The Warriors are very similar to the Great Warriors and the Celtics threw Marcus Smart after they set up a guard position when throwing their long advance. In the Western Conference Finals, the Warriors focused on the Dallas Mavericks in five games when, in the East, the Celtics struggled to eliminate the Miami Heat, requiring a total of seven games. Robert Williams’ clever and ingenious center failed and the team like the Warriors did not benefit from a full week.
Steph Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green are not their old cousins, but they are getting very close to what everyone expected. The Warriors also benefited from a talented youngster, particularly Jordan Poole, and renewed the career of Andrew Wiggins after he rescued the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It’s hard not to think Golden State – who will have the home court advantage in the Finals – has the upper hand, but Boston (which started the season struggling to stay at 0.500) has lost all sorts of great chances this year. Just ask the Milwaukee Bucks who dropped a 3-2 lead against them earlier this season. They have won 26 of their last 35 games and have yet to make two direct appearances in the playoffs. They are ready to pay the Golden State for the money.
As always, we want to hear from you throughout this live blog. If you have any questions, comments, predictions or random errors, you can email them to us (from [email protected]) or via Twitter (to @HunterFelt). We will include them all in today’s game. It is Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center. The opening session is scheduled for 9:00 pm EST, and it will almost certainly be too late, but we will be back well before that.
Hunter will be here soon. In the meantime, here is how our panel looks at the series:
Fighter 4-2 Celtics. There are many nuances in predicting who will win the Larry O’Brien trophy. But let’s keep it simple: We’ve lived many years of basketball talking about the healthy Stephen Curry, who is still the greatest player the NBA has ever seen. Claire de Lune
Fighter 4-2 Celtics. Let’s focus on education and experience. Or, in the case of Boston, its absence. Ime Udoka has done a remarkable job as head coach in his first season to reach the final but he made some dubious decisions at the end of the season. Steve Kerr and his foundation have been here many times before: that experience can prove important under the bright lights of the finale. Tyrell Feaster
Fighter 4-2 Celtics. The Celtics can take the plunge: while they had a tough start to the season, struggling to maintain a record of 00 0.500 when newcomer Ime Udoka adjusted to his new role, Boston became the best team in the NBA from the start. of 2022. However, their inexperience has forced them to play more games in the aftermath than they should possibly have. Look for them to achieve a great way to success before the Warriors control the line. Hunter Felt
Celtics 4-3 Warriors. It is a traditional thing to be a supporter of the Golden State, which competes in the experience and advantage of in-court. However, this Celtics team looks ahead. They defeated a Nets team led by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving; they bottled Giannis Antetokoumpo just enough to eliminate the defending champions; they extended from one side of the top to the other. It is a team that will not be denied, more proven against the Warriors team. AR Shaw
