Daniel Isaac Marquez, 10, was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated assault and robbery after sending a text message to Cape Coral’s Patriot Elementary School.
The boy’s alleged text was: ‘I cheated on my friend’ and his arrest report included a Google image of the money.
“I bought it,” he added a few seconds later, containing an image of four assault rifles.
Marquez then said: ‘Get ready for Water Day,’ referring to a recent school-sponsored program in which students participate in water activities, such as playing on sprinklers.
‘He described the bundles of cash and‘ get ready ’for the mass shoot,’ Marceno said of the text during a W radio interview on Monday, ‘we don’t wait a second. We investigate every threat as real. ‘

The sheriff also commented on the boy’s public arrest, saying “fake threats” lead to “real consequences.”
‘I campaigned. Fake threats, real consequences. I understand the boy is 10 years old. His brain is not fully developed, he is a teenager, I must tell you. When a 10-year-old child pulls the trigger, the result is the same regardless of age, ‘said Sheriff.
He warned anyone who tried to shoot at the school: ‘You should not come to my school in my county and present lethal force. Because we meet the deadly force with a slow force, without a second, without hesitation.
‘If you think you’re going to kill a kid or a faculty member, think again. We will kill you right away. ‘
The fake threat was the second in a week that threatened the community with violence at the school. On Thursday, a woman said she was going to graduate from a high school in the area with a bomb in her chest.
But they both came after 19 children and two teachers were shot dead by a sick 18-year-old gunman in Ubalde, Texas. Salvador Ramos punched his grandmother in the face before raping her at Rob Elementary School on Tuesday.
